Privacy Policy

PhotoVault - Keep Photos Safe is an iOS app for keeping private photos and videos in local app storage on your device. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the app.

Information PhotoVault Processes

  • Photos and videos you choose to import: PhotoVault can read selected photos and videos from your photo library only after you grant photo access or choose items through the iOS photo picker.
  • Exported items: If you export photos or videos back to Photos, iOS asks for permission to add items to your photo library.
  • Camera access: If you use camera-related features, iOS asks for camera permission before the camera is used.
  • Biometric unlock state: If you enable Face ID or Touch ID, PhotoVault uses Apple's LocalAuthentication framework to ask the device to authenticate you. PhotoVault does not receive or store your biometric data.
  • App settings and purchase state: PhotoVault stores settings such as preferences, Pro purchase state, and local app state on your device.
  • Support communications: If you contact us by email, we process your email address and the information you include so we can respond.

Local Storage and Security

  • PhotoVault is designed to keep imported media in the app's local storage on your device.
  • The app does not operate its own cloud account system for your private media and does not upload your imported photos or videos to our servers.
  • The app uses iOS system protections, including file protection where supported, to help protect local files.
  • You are responsible for keeping your device, device passcode, Apple ID, and backups secure.

Purchases

  • PhotoVault may offer a one-time Pro upgrade through Apple's in-app purchase system.
  • Payment, receipts, refunds, and purchase history are handled by Apple under Apple's own terms and privacy policy.

What We Do Not Collect

  • PhotoVault does not sell your personal data.
  • PhotoVault does not use your private photos or videos for advertising.
  • PhotoVault does not include its own analytics account system or advertising SDK in the app code reviewed for this release.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Data may be processed by Apple for App Store, in-app purchase, iCloud backup, diagnostics, photo library, and device authentication services according to Apple's policies:

Your Choices

  • You can manage photo, camera, and Face ID permissions in iOS Settings.
  • You can remove local app data by deleting the app from your device.
  • You can manage purchases and refunds through Apple.
  • If iCloud Backup is enabled for your device, Apple may include app data in device backups according to your iCloud settings.

Children

PhotoVault is not directed to children under 13 or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app, legal requirements, or platform services change. The effective date above will be updated when the policy changes.
